- We've been using SiteLock 3.20 for DOS and Windows apps for about
- 9 months now, mostly with success. We ran into some problems with
- metering of -some- Windows-based software (mostly WordPerfect for
- Windows 2.0 and when we had both Word for Windows 1.2 and 2.0 being
- metered at the same time), but have resolved those problems.
-
- SiteLock requires a small TSR to be loaded on each machine, and another
- application to be autoloaded from your Win.Ini for windows use.
-
- Version 4.0 of SiteLock is supposed to be out now; we've ordered our upgrade.
- This new version is supposed to include some useful new features, possibly
- removing the requirement for the TSRs. From the product literature, V4.0
- apparently also has the ability to "wrap" the metered executables (sort
- of
- like KeyServer for the Mac?) so that apps cannot be run if they are not on
- the network.
-
- SiteLock is from BrightWork Development, 800 552 0622
