  13. I'm having a problem with NFS print services on a Novell 3.11 server. 
  14. (Who doesn't right?)  The whole purpose of this is so that someone can 
  15. print to a Unix printer or a Novell printer using the print features
  16. of NFS without logging onto the server that has NFS installed on it. 
  17. What should happen is that a workstation prints to a queue on server2, 
  18. server2 then passes the job to server1 and then server1 passes the job to 
  19. the unix workstaion that the printer is attached to. What happens is that 
  20. server2 doesn't pass the job onto server1. I can print a job to the queue
  21. on server1 and it goes to the unix printer fine.

  23. Here's my setup:

  25. Server1:
  26. Compaq 486DX2/66
  27. Compaq Netflex 32bit ethernet card
  28. Novell v3.11
  29. Pconsole v1.51
  30. NFS v1.2
  31. NFS print services running with printers defined as remote/other. This 
  32. print server has been told to service both server1 and server2.

  35. Compaq 486DX2/66
  36. Compaq Netflex 32bit ethernet card
  37. Novell v3.11
  38. A print server (regular Novell not NFS) has been defined using the exact 
  39. configuration as the NFS print server except that it isn't loaded.

  41. A unix based workstaion with a printer attached to it.

  44. I'm starting to think that the problem is that both print servers have to
  45. configure the printers as remote/other. Novell says that everything is setup 
  46. properly and to trash everything and start over. Didn't work.

  48. Has anyone done this or have any ideas?
  49. Just trying to stretch that budget!
