  11. A new utility for Pegasus Mail is now available from

  13. risc.ua.edu  as  /pub/network/pegasus/misc/mwch24.zip.

  15. This is an email manager for system administrators called MailWatch.
  16. It performs a variety of powerfull functions such as generating reports about
  17. your entire email structure (disk space used, messages unread etc...) and it
  18. can manage old unread messages and keep them from building up and "cloging"
  19. your system.  Unread messages older than a specified date can be simply deleted
  20. or forwarded to the same person at another host (via Charon or Novell) or
  21. returned to the sender as "unread".

  23. It can maintain a group of users who do not read there mail.  For example, you
  24. can have users with unread mail older than 15 days placed in a Novell group,
  25. then display an appropriate message to them when they log in (something like
  26. "read your mail!") then, if the mail gets older than 20 days, return or delete
  27. it.

  29. An upcoming version will support MHS and possibly additional mailers (as time
  30. permits).
