  10. We are running a Netware 386 network with 48+ workstations.
  11. Right now, our clients are configured using a packet driver,
  12. then IPX, then NETX.  The packet driver is card-specific.
  13. We also run TCP/IP packets over the network simultaneously.
  14.  
  15. We are now being encouraged to upgrade to Netware ODI.  My
  16. understanding is that ODI is similar to NDIS in that it
  17. does away with the need for card-specific drivers, but I
  18. don't really know that much about ODI.

  20. Can someone post a short summary of how Netware ODI differs
  21. from the Netware 386 we are currently using.  What advantages
  22. are there to us switching to ODI?  Disadvantages?  Cost is not
  23. an issue here.  We are being offered the upgrade for free.

  25. Also, a BIG question:  What changes will be necessary to our
  26. server and/or client software in order to convert to ODI?
