- I would be very interested in understanding how this is done. I roamed
- through Compu$erve last night trying to track down the system calls for this,
- but came up with nothing.

- I did track down a PD chunk of software that obtains the serial numbers by
- presenting itself to the network as a file server. Whenever a new FS shows up
- on the net, the serial numbers are exchanged between all FSs. Kind of a
- unique way to check on it...
