  12. Is there any way to do this?  My .tar.Z file comes up with an
  13. error halfway through:

  15. Directory checksum:  1089 != 27893

  17. or something like this (made up the numbers).  Can I uncompress
  18. the tar file and fix it somehow?  (I just want to skip the bad
  19. block or the bad file and read the rest of the files).

  21. This came up while reading from a bad floppy... the file copies
  22. but the data is corrupted.  Is there a way to fix the floppy?
  23. I tried running:

  28. but this didn't seem to do anything.
