- Thanks to everybody who responded. Since many people were interested
- I am posting a summary.
-
- There is a program called uShare by IPT, Inc that runs on NeXT and
- makes NeXT a file, printer and e-mail server for a Mac network.
- Also, if there are other Unix computers on the same network, e.g. SGI
- workstations, they can also print to the NeXT printer.
-
- Their phone number is 1-800-233-9993
-
- Here are some specs:
-
- Supported Network hardware:
- FASTPATH, EtherGate, Apple Internet Router, EtherNet cards from
- Apple, Shlva 3Com, Asante
-
- File systems:
- Apple HFS-AFP, NFS, BSD
-
- Network protocols:
- EtherTalk Phase I and II, TCP/IP, Ethernet, LocalTalk, NFS
-
- Platforms:
- Macintosh and NeXT
-
- They sell the program in 3 packages:
- 1NeXT - 1Mac, 1NeXT - <5 Macs and 1NeXT - unlimited Macs.
