- I didn't had any problems to increase the mach buffers. The correct syntax is
- bsd- nbu=128 e.g.

- The best is to reserve about 5 % of your memory for mach buffers. I have a
- Monochrome NeXTstation with 20 MB RAM. So I adjusted the buffers to 128 (8KB *
- 128 = 1MB) and I've got a better performance.
- When you set the buffers to values > 255 you will get problems.

- To make these changes permanent set change the boot command in the NMI with the
- 'p' command.
