- Has anyone else gotten this on the NeXT? (I'm pretty sure Mark Adler said he
- did a while ago?)
-
- It compiles without errors on NS 3.0, but it does some odd things. One, the
- lock file in /usr/spool/uucp/LCK doesn't always get deleted. Next time
- kermit's run it says 'removing stale lock file' but do all apps (i.e. UUCP)
- do this?
-
- Two, what's wrong with this script:
-
- set line /dev/cufa
- set baud 38400
- out ats0=1 [newline]
- in 3 OK
- quit
-
- (the syntax may be off, I'm doing this from memory, but the commands are
- basically right)
-
- All I want it to do is turn autoanswer on automatically. It worked with an
- older version of kermit (182? 180?) and NeXTstep 2.1, but with the current
- setup (the older kermit does not work in 3.0 either) it just hangs at the
- 'quit' statement. The ats0=1 went in there, because if I go into kermit and
- hit return, the autoanswer status comes up.
-
- Any clues?

- Yesterday I was a dog. Today I'm a dog. Tomorrow I'll probably still
- be a dog. Sigh! There's so little hope for advancement.
