- I'm doing a lot of OCR work with Macs and then transfering
- files to my Next to work on.
- These files are in French and Italian (accent marks!).
- Now, I save the Mac files as ascii, WriteNow format and
- rtf format, but NONE of these seem to retain the ACCENT
- marks correctly. The best I can do is save as Mac rtf, open the
- rtf file with Next Edit, and then cut and paste into Next
- WriteNow. I have tried Mac WriteNow 2.2 and 3.0.
-
- This is a bad situation, and if I can't correct it it
- means I can't move files from Mac to Next, at least
- without a hell of a lot of proofreading I shouldn't
- have to do.
-
- I DO have MacTranslators (DataViz) so I am tempted to
- save the Mac files in some DOS version before transferring
- them to the Next, but haven't yet tried.
-
- RTF on the Next seems proprietary!!! Does anyone know of
- a fixit for this problem? It's crazy!
-
- Thanks
