  21. My NeXT CC came back with the suggestion of running with Emac's key-bindings
  22. turned ON.  It didn't change the Expansion Dictionary's presentation (where
  23. are all those buttons anyway?), but the escape key now works to signal
  24. an abbreviation.

  32. After some further testing, it is apparent that Edit will not use some keys as  
  33. command-keys.  I was trying to use command-j for a date function (to mirror  
  34. WordPerfect)  and it didn't work. Using command-5, all is well.  I cannot see
  35. why command-j is not allowed, as it is not already defined as a command key
  36. in Edit, nor is it used by any of the Services defined to work with Edit.
