- Do you mean '030? I wasn't aware of an '020 board!

- Actually, 3.0 will work with your '030, but not very well (it is optimized
- for '040s). 3.0 does support the optical drive, BUT the 33Mhz board doesn't.
- The CDROM is a good thing to have, as is a floppy. One can NEVER have too
- much memory, regardless of the OS/CPU.

- This is incorrect information. The 33Mhz board DOES NOT support the OD,
- regardless of the OS. The 33Mhz board lacks the OD connector and support
- chip. The only way around this is to save your 030 board and send it to
- Spherical Solutions and allow it to run as a slave CPU concurently with
- your Turbo board. This way you can run your OD from the 030 slave while
- running your 33Mhz board for other tasks.

- Personally, I'd send the 030 card to SS and go with solution 1. You'll want
- the CDROM and need a floppy drive anyway. 3.0 offers quite a few advantages
- over 2.x (Mac/Novell support and better faxing, etc). You can always purchase
- a cheap CDROM drive through a 3rd party (NEC comes to mind).

- Sorry, I thought others in a similar predicament might benefit form this.
- (actually, I was answering this question by question and I just came across
- this at the last moment...)
