  23. I have found that this package seems to be empty on other machines that have
  24. been upgraded to 3.0 thus causing the error.  However, it exists on the 3.0
  25. CD-ROM, I think in the /NextCD directory.  So erase
  26. /NextLibrary/Packages/ThirdParty to avoid future confusion (after looking
  27. inside the package to verify that it's empty :-)

  29. This package contains only the Sybase client library and related stuff.  To run
  30. Sybase, a second package, Sybase_SQL_Server-limited.pkg (or the unlimited
  31. version) must be available.  This was distributed with NeXTSTEP 1.0 with a free
  32. upgrade to a NS 2.0 version (which works fine under 3.0).

  34. If you don't have the server package, then you must license it from Sybase.
  35. The limited (~5 simultaneous client-server connections maximum) version used to
  36. sell for around $600.
