  36. My model of that (don't know if it's right) is that you can
  37. write 0% of any color you like (white and black being the
  38. easiest ones to get from the monochrome picker).  Since the
  39. on-screen appearance is the same in either case (within
  40. Icon, I mean), you don't know what you're doing unless you
  41. make a careful, conscious choice.  Then, presumably, if the
  42. alpha information is ignored, the underlying color
  43. information (setgray in PostScript, for example) remains.
