- I installed the 1.23GB HD, and found that it came with a device block
- size of 512Bytes. The original Seagate was formated with a 1024Bytes
- block size.
-
- Do you have any idea what the performance impact is? Should I try to
- reformat the disk to get a block size of 1024Bytes?
-
-
- How hard is to reformat the HD to set the block size to 1024, can I do it
- or is it a manufacturer's job?
-
-
- thanks in advance,
- Jim.
