  14. I have the opportunity to purchase a used MIPS computer from my
  15. employer.  They're headed towards 486's :-)
  16.  
  17. This is the information I have been able to gather from the system
  18. itself.  What I'm trying to find answers to are the following
  19. questions:
  20. a) Should I purchase this system?
  21. b) How much should I offer? The machine is about 3 years old.
  22. c) Can I get newer versions of the operating system?
  23. and any other things you think I have to know.

  56. Also, the system has serial ports as well as an ethernet interface.
  57. In addition, there's a SCSI tape on the front (120Mb?).
  58. I looked for some sort of "print what hardware you have" command but was
  59. unable to find it.  The system was set up not to print all the
  60. "config" data upon bootup.  The following was kind of taken from the
  61. list of configured devices:
