  31.                This is the FINAL call for the Netter's Dinner!

  34. The Netter's Dinner is a gathering of net.geeks at MacWorld.  I have
  35. organized
  36. the San Francisco dinner since '85 or so.  The dinner has grown to almost
  37. uncontrollable proportions but I continue to make the effort because I
  38. enjoy
  39. the food and the chance to schmooze. It has traditionally been hackers and
  40. programmers, but as more people find out about it, it has grown to include
  41. others.  
  42.  
  43. Dinner is traditional hot and spicy Chinese food at one of my favorite
  44. restaurants.  They have a banquet room we can take over that can seat the
  45. unruly crowd we gather.  Last year the count was 102.  The current count is
  46. only around 40, and we don't qualify for the big room until we hit 80, so
  47. we'll
  48. be in the small room.

  54. Dinner will be Friday January 8th at 7 PM at the Hunan on Sansome at
  55. Broadway.

  57. We will meet at the top of the escalators in Moscone after the show which
  58. ends
  59. at 6 PM on Friday.  We will begin walking to the Hunan at 6:30 PM!  Please
  60. note
  61. that we are WALKING and this is a brisk walk at this time of year.  Bring a
  62. coat and some confortable shoes.  The walk isn't bad, assuming the weather
  63. holds, but be prepared.

  65. The cost of the dinner will be $22.  This turns out to be the expensive
  66. meal
  67. and looks well worth it.  It includes Onion Cakes and Dumplings appetizers,
  68. Chicken Salad, and Hot & Sour Soup, plus Garlic Chicken, Hot & Sour Beef,
  69. String Beans w/ Meat Sauce, Hunan Scallops, Kung Pao Shrimp, Rice and Tea.

  71. I'll also order a vegetarian meal for Leonard.  If anyone else wants/needs
  72. a vegetarian meal, please notify me as soon as possible.
