  20. I dispute this finding.  I had an NTX w/ 5M and replaced it with a IIg w/
  21. 8M and found that printing times dropped significantly.  The drop was less
  22. pronounced on bitmaps, although the printouts were vastly improved.

  24. The thing that really sped things up was replacing AppleTalk with Ethernet.
  25.  This resulted in a five times improvement in some printouts and made a lot
  26. of Postscript transfers almost instantaneous.

  28. I found that I used to avoid putting scanned pictures in my letters because
  29. to make them small enough to be unobtrusive also made them murky.  Now I
  30. think nothing of tossing in a few 24 bit PICTs because they print so fast
  31. and clearly. It's heavenly.
