- SpInside Mac was a test thing by Apple to try to make an online
- version of Inside Mac. The first version was given to developers
- on "Phil and Dave's Excellent CD" a few years ago, and has since
- been changed little. It basically covers volumes one through five
- but still refers to the Lisa and only up to the mac plus or two.
- The stack can export chapters to a text file, and can print, but
- only by chapter or card :-(
-
- Inside Mac is probably just volume six. That's also on the developer
- CD's. It's also very rough and unpolished. Basically, Apple wants
- people to be able to get Inside Mac as easily as possible, but it's
- a huge thing, and not easy to use. It's a little easier to navigate
- through the vol. 6 stack, but still cumbersome.
-
- The new volumes (I think a new files and toolbox essentials) are
- availabe in DocViewer format, but I don't know where. You may
- have to be a developer. These include graphics right in the document,
- so you don't have to deal with them separately.
-
- good luck!
