  33. If you don't like the way sumex organizes things, don't use sumex.  At
  34. mac.archive.umich.edu we have always organized things in much the way you
  35. suggest.  We have a hierarchical directory structure that makes it easy to 
  36. find exactly what you want.  And if you CAN'T find what you want, you can
  37. always search our 800K descriptive index file, which is also available in a
  38. tab-delimited form for easy import into the database of your choice.  We have
  39. between 50% more and twice as many files as sumex does (depending on how and 
  40. what you count), including everything sumex has (except art, sounds, and 
  41. quicktime).
