  40. Two suggestions that I think do what you want.
  41.  
  42. (1) If you want some extensions to load and not others, move the ones you
  43. don't want into a temporary folder.
  44.  
  45. (2) While holding down shift disables all extensions, many (but alas, not all)
  46. extensions allow you to set another key (caps lock, control, option, command,
  47. or combinations of these) that disable that particular extension.  Why not set
  48. all of these but the one you want to disable themselves with (say) the option
  49. key?  I would avoid option/command and shift...
  50.
