- I don't normally write this type of article, but I had such a WONDERFUL
- experience this week, I wanted to share it.
-
- My Powerbook 140's trackball has been giving me trouble for a while, and last
- weekend it finally gave out and would only move horizontally (not a good
- thing ;).
-
- Monday morning I called 1-800-SOS-APPL (after being told by all the local
- dealers that they couldn't do it in less tha a couple of weeks), talked with
- a nice rep who took down all of my information and said he'd send out the
- box for shipping and that the'd have it back on the 28th (not great but better
- than the dealers). So the box arrives on Tuesday, and I send it right back
- out via Airbourne Express (all the forms come predone at Apple's expense).
-
- This morning (Thursday), my Powerbook returned to me FULLY REPAIRED!!!
-
- Talk about service, they turned the machine around the SAME DAY they recieved
- it, so I was only without my PB for 2 days (airbourne time).
-
- It's about time someone (Apple, thankfully) did something like this in the
- computer (or any other) industry.
-

- P.S. I did this as an "end user", I received no special developer privledges
- and never even identified myself as one.
