  14. I've had my LC on since June - no problem. I shut it down during 
  15. storms just to be sure (but there haven't really been any.) I 
  16. sometimes need to restart for things like Appletalk and such. 
  17. My reason is that I used to feel bad when I'd shut down after
  18. using it in the morning and then start it up again twice more 
  19. during the day. I thought that I was decreasing the hard drive's
  20. life, so I just leave it on with the monitor off. It works quite
  21. well, but gets kinda hot.
