  11. I just started to use a DG AViiON workstation, and am
  12. quite puzzle with the extreme slowness that login(1)
  13. verifies the user password. If one mis-types the password,
  14. it'll take almost 8 seconds before it displays "Login
  15. incorrect" message.

  17. Is this a setup problem? Should I ask my sysadm to apply
  18. a patch? or, is this a standard behavior on SVR4 hosts?
