- I run expeditions into the sub-arctic. Up to now I've kept my journals
- in longhand. However, I type much better than I write. I would like
- advice on a lightweight laptop. It only has to be able to run a word
- processor. But I am far away from the powerlines, so it must be able
- to run for an hour a day for a month without a recharge, or a mountain
- of batteries.
-
- I have a friend trying to sell me his Sinclair Z88. Looking through
- the specs, this is close to ideal. It's the size of a Byte magazine,
- weighs only 2 lbs. It has a reasonable editor; it runs 20+ hours on 4
- AA batteries, and you can change them on the fly. It's keyboard is
- quite usable, and as a bonus is somewhat water resistent. But his has
- only 1 128K cartridge with it.
-
- 1. Anyone know of a supplier for Z88 cartridges, preferably the 500K
- or 1 MB size.
-
- 2. Can anyone recommend a more suitable machine
-
- Please email reply's
