- I just bought a used Epson Px-8 Geneva LapTop. This computer came with the
- multi 64 term hardware and software installed on internal rom C.
-
- I got to owners/operation manuels in which I have tried to use the modem
- and so far I've had no luck in getting this computer to talk to my account.
-
- My set up is compatable with what my term program for the c64 is using and
- as you can see I have no problems using this (i am typing on the c64 now).
-
- The problems seems that the internal software, does not trigger the drive.
- I am lost of fiquring out how this works. I keep getting rs-232C is not
- ready. The manuels call for making sure the cable lines are connected.
-
- Perhaps that is where my confuslays. The 64 muti modem connects directly
- to the laptop. There is a phone jack there which I use to connect
- directly into the phone line. Nothing happens. The term program just hangs,
- and I am unable to type on screen.
-
- Help. Help. I bought this device just for telecomunications.
