- Dear IBM People,
-
- I recently acquired an old NCR AT (286) clone and a modem.
- I am now trying to use the modem, but I have a problem. When I
- issue a mode command, the list that comes up contains the CON
- and the LPTxx, but there are no COMx listed.
-
- Naturally, there were no manuals with this machine. It does
- contain a single card (other than the motherboard) that the
- disks are connected to. That card also has a 9-pin port and a
- 25-pin port.
-
- What am I missing here? Do I need to install the COMs
- myself? Help. Please respond via email as I cannot read this
- group. Thanks in advance.
