  20. Are you using the Smartdrive that comes with Windows 3.1? It uses delayed 
  21. write to disk and if every now and then too much accumulates in the write 
  22. buffer and it hasn't been given a chance to write to disk it will interrupt 
  23. everything else to catch up with its backlog. On a slower machine/drive 
  24. especially this could cause some relatively lengthy interruptions at 
  25. seemingly random times.
