- Pardon me, but NT isn't real yet? If it is half as buggy as Windows 3.0 I'd
- stay away from it until the second revision. Microsoft seems to rush their
- products to market before testing them well. Windows 3.0 was the buggiest
- OS I've ever used. I helped many people who couldn't even get it to load
- without crashing - and with no error messages at all.
-
- For those who have lots of DOS or windows software a
- switch to OS/2 2.0 will free you from the DOS memory crunch.
- OS/2 2.1 will be out in (about) March. OS/2 2.1 beta copies
- are available now to the general public for $15! If you want to
- know more on this read the OS/2 newsgroups.
-
- I just made the switch to OS/2 2.0. As a frequent user of Unix
- I find OS/2 2.0 to be a breath of fresh air. I'd rather have
- Unix but it won't run Dos or Windows applications and I can't afford
- to buy a lot of new software.
-
- The biggest problem with OS/2 2.0 is that it takes a
- lot of resources to run it. Reports on OS2 2.1 indicate that it
- is better in this regard. Again, if you want to know more about
- this, read the OS/2 newsgroups. It is probably best not to start
- too many OS/2 threads in this group.
