- A friend has recently purchased a copy of Chuck Yeager's Advanced Flight Trainer
- version 2.0. The program refuses to run on his computer. When you start it up,
- it asks for some password from the manual; once you enter the password, it will
- flash a view from the cockpit for a fraction of a second, and then return you to
- the DOS prompt. It looks like the program puts a 'Divide Overflow' message on
- the screen just before it dies (it clears the screen as it crashes, so it's hard
- to tell for sure).
-
- The hardware is a Packard Bell 486 DX, with 4MB RAM, and a SVGA monitor. Here are
- some things I've done already:
-
- - Create a "clean" bootable diskette (no autoexec or config.sys), and boot from
- it and try to run the program. Did not work.
-
- - Installed the program on another Packard Bell at a shop. Did not work.
-
- - Installed the program on my own Packard Bell 286. Worked fine!!
-
- So, can anyone help with this? Obviously the disks are ok, since we've been able
- to make things work on at least one other computer.
-
- Any help would be greatly appreciated, e-mail if possible.
-
- Thanks
