  26. Like the original poster I was SICK of the beige drek that EVERYONE
  27. seems to be selling. When I was ready to start building my new Unix
  28. tower though there was damn little else available and I was resigned to
  29. being forced into buying yet another PCPCC (Politically Correct Personal
  30. Computer Cabinet :) ).

  32. Then I went to a hamfest with my pocket full of $$$$ ready to pick up
  33. said yucky beige horror when I spooted a sleek BLACK tower case.  Room
  34. for all my drives, smoked plastic window over the exposed bays, plenty
  35. of breathing space for the new mother board, DAMN! It was very nearly a
  36. religious experience.  I bought the beast after finding out it was the
  37. ONLY one they had ("We brought 3 and the other 2 went before we were
  38. completely unpacked").  So, down went my folding green and I now have
  39. this nice gleaming black cabinet standing near the old cheesy beige
  40. tower that will soon be moved from Unix to DOS.

  42. MORAL: The non-beige cabinets ARE out there but you'll pay for the
  43. desire to break from the pack. Mine was about $40 more than a comparable
  44. beige tower (the salesman said the price was for the "conductive
  45. paint".... riiiiiight).

  47. Now, about those damn GREEN mother boards........ :)
