  12. Subject says it all, really. I bought an ATI 8514 Ultra a couple of
  13. months ago. It's ISA and MC and contains no VGA hardware but takes VGA
  14. output either from the slot or via the feature port (I use it with a
  15. Diamond Speedstar ET4k based SVGA). It came with Crystal Font drivers
  16. for Windows 3.0 and although only Times, Helvetica and Symbol were
  17. supported (and the "additional font pack" never materialized) it was a
  18. god sent, when I wrote my thesis with WinWord. Then came Windows 3.1
  19. with it's own font scaling engine and Crystal fonts ceased working.
  20. Now ATI is advertizing True Type compatible Crystal Font drivers for
  21. their new Mach 32 based Ultra series and I wonder whether they still
  22. happen to support their "old" hardware and whether 1) the new drivers
  23. can be used directly or 2) they have new drivers.
