- Mostly because it's not worth commending. While the picture
- quality is pretty good, it is a lot less sharp than my Nec
- 3d, and makes an audible clicking sound when switching resolutions.
- My own Sampo Alphascan 15 supports as high if not higher scan rates
- and has a sharper picture (I got it cheap, too) and flatter screen.
-
- Not that it's a bad monitor. As monitors go, it's better than
- the 3 models from AAMAZING (utter garbage, IMHO), but it's not
- as good as it gets--at 1024x768 it looks decidedly mushy next to
- the newer Nec, Sony and Viewsonic monitors.
-
- It's a pretty good monitor for the cost--certainly you can;t do
- *worse* than those nasty el-budgeto 14"ers that Gateway ships
- otherwise.

-
- Depends on how you set the V/H width, but I imagine it *could* be
- 15 inches, but since it's not really a flat screen you get a bit of
- pincushioning (sp) that kid of spoils that. (More, in fact, than on
- my non-flat Nec 3d..)
-
- Now, if you want a really sexy monitor, I understand that Compaq is
- making larger and higher-res versions of Zeniths flat tension mask
- monitor--so flat that it looks *concave*. gorgeous.
-
- But it'll cost. You get what you pay for--any monitor under about
- $450 retail is probably not very good.
