- I've used all sorts of keyboards over the years. My favorites have been (in no
- particular order), Northgate keyboards, older Zenith keyboards (say pre 1990),
- and the keyboard on the Dell I got at work this year. These all have a firm
- bottom to the keystroke, medium key pressure, and no electronic click.
-
- The Gateway keyboard (I have a new one at home) is one of my least favorite. It
- reminds me of the Wyse terminal keyboards. My all-time least favorites are the
- VT100 (original) and the Compaq mushy keyboards that came with the compaq
- portables and desktops in the mid-late 80's. I haven't tried a Compaq keyboard
- in a couple of years or so, so they may have changed. The original IBM PC
- keyboard and their current ones are so-so. I prefered the feel of the original
- to the new ones.

- Pick the Northgate to fit your needs - they have 3 current models with function
- keys in old-style, new-style, or both positions.
