- I just bought a NCR 77C22E SVGA video controllerIt is 2MB though
- it purports to have the ability to go up to 4MB. It has a Sierra
- HiColour RAMDAC giving 800*600*16bit resolution. It can go up to
- 1280*1024*8bit resolution interlaced. The Winbench program gave a
- reading of 3.4 million winmarks at 1024*768*8bit resolution.
-
- In the manual that came with the board, supposedly it can
- support 1024*768 HiColour modes but the best drivers that came with the
- board were 800*600*16 bit drivers for win 3.1. Maybe drivers utilizing
- the boards capabilities will come out later.
-
- Even though the board can support up to 4MB, the extra ram is
- used for paging. The board is XGA compatible as well.
-
- Hope that this info helps. All the info came from the manual.
