  28. I run a Western Digital WD1007 ESDI controller and an Adaptec 1542B SCSI
  29. controller in the same machine and they co-exist very nicely.  The ESDI
  30. controller handles a hard and two floppy disks, the SCSI controller handles
  31. a CD-ROM and SCSI tape.

  33. As far as what was required:
  34.  
  35.     - disable the floppy controller on the SCSI board (I use the
  36.       floppy controller on the ESDI board)
  37.  
  38.     - install the Adaptec ASPI4DOS driver
  39.  
  40.     - install the CD-ROM and tape drivers
