  14.   Question for those of you who have ever had experience with tape
  15. backups: How compatible are they with each other? Here's my specific
  16. problem. I'm running SCSI, whereas my father is running IDE. I want to
  17. be able to backup my data and bring the tape to his computer and restore
  18. any file (or perhaps ALL files). Obviously, if I get a SCSI tape backup,
  19. he won't be able to get the same model. Are all "QIC-150" models
  20. compatible, assuming that I use the same backup program (or does the
  21. software not matter)? Also, for the tape drives that claim to run off
  22. the floppy controller: do they actually have to REPLACE one of my floppy
  23. drives? (i.e., I lose drive B: entirely, forever?)
