  13. I have a 33mhz 486dx running windows 3.1.  I have A NI ctx monitor, and
  14. a trident videocard with an 8900c chip.  It works fine with the svga driver
  15. that came with windows.  but when I try to use tridents drivers for 256 color
  16. mode ( I have the 4-92 release from wuarchive) I encounter a problem with 
  17. the dos prompt, it won't start up as an icon or in a window ( it says 
  18. aplication cannot run in window or background) but if I toggle it to full
  19. screen and then return to a window it works fine.  Has anyone else encountered
  20. this problem or more importantly know the solution?
