  11. I've seen some ads for "reconditioned" notebook PCs, at low
  12. price.  I realize that these are not brand-new machines, and
  13. that there is probably some risk, but the prices are quite
  14. attractive.  My question is:  To what extent are these PCs
  15. reconditioned?  Are they ones which were returned for repair
  16. and repaired, or bought used and cleaned up, or what?

  18. Does anyone have any experience on buying a reconditioned
  19. notebook?

  21. Next question... Can the large LCD on a notebook PC be
  22. damaged by extremes in storage temperature, esp. cold?  I
  23. live in Indiana, and would not mind having a computer which
  24. I could safely carry around during the winter.
