- I've seen some ads for "reconditioned" notebook PCs, at low
- price. I realize that these are not brand-new machines, and
- that there is probably some risk, but the prices are quite
- attractive. My question is: To what extent are these PCs
- reconditioned? Are they ones which were returned for repair
- and repaired, or bought used and cleaned up, or what?
-
- Does anyone have any experience on buying a reconditioned
- notebook?
-
- Next question... Can the large LCD on a notebook PC be
- damaged by extremes in storage temperature, esp. cold? I
- live in Indiana, and would not mind having a computer which
- I could safely carry around during the winter.
