- Just a quick question for all...
-
- This past weekend at a Computer show I bought (new) a Golden Sound card
- Pro II, I had first bought a PAS (but returned it).
-
- The price was $125. which was a little less than the PAS ($169)
-
- I switched for two reasons: 1) the seller was local, so if I didn't like
- it I can return it easily. and 2) the card claims to be MPU-401 compatible
- with an add-on kit.
-
- Questions: Has anybody had any experience using this card? Do any of
- you out there have this card? Do you have the upgrade kit (MPU-401/MIDI)?
- How is the reliablity? Has anyone hooked this up to a MT-32? (with the
- kit) Has anyone hooked this card up to any MIDI instrument? How much
- is the add on kit to upgrade to MPU-401/MIDI?
-
- I'd like to know as much about this as possible so I can return it if
- necessary. (asap)
-
- so far the sound is pretty good, and it's supposed to have a surround
- sound mode (though I'm only piping it through a Boom box right now)
-
- Lastly, Does anyone have an MT-32 that they want to sell? I'll consider
- all offers, and reply to all.
-
- Thanks,
-
