- Hello All,
-
- In a previous post, an individual was/is in the market for a new system and cited
- several chipset manufacturers he wanted to know about...
-
- - Chipsets : Vega, Opti, American Digicom, Micronics, AMI, Compat, Free ...
- - Any specific chipsets to look for / avoid?
- - Any 'quirks' to look for / avoid ?
- ( right now I'm running OS/2 and DOS, and plan to play w/ Linux later )
-
- My question is, can anyone out there recommend a journal of sorts that print INFO
- on these chipsets as opposed to just referencing them (Computer Shopper). I
- would imagine that most people out there have little or no idea what a given
- chipset does for them anyhow (the info I've seen doesn't do anything for me, at
- least) and I'll bet some people would like to have said clue about said product.
-
- Sincerely,
-
