  13. I need an inexpensive laptop preferably with a 2400 or 9600 error
  14. correcting modem built in to run basically a telcom program to login for email
  15. and MAYBE some wordproeccsing - basically email access is more important
  16. and to demostrate email to people in their offices.

  18. So I dont need a 386 or such "powerful" machine but a decent (used is fine)
  19. PC wioth 1MB or so of RAM and a decent harddisk in a compact box that
  20. is not too kludgy.

  22. Someone suggested the NEC Ultralite series (like 17-01) that has 1mb 
  23. of "hard disk" space on a chip that can be used to "transfer from main
  24. PC" the application one expects to use on the road.  So it is not
  25. a "real" full fledged PC but is very light and has a backlit screen I am
  26. told.

  28. I was wondering if it is a good option for the need I have or is there a
  29. good place to get used 286 laptops for decent [read LOW] prices.
