  13. Here's an ideas for a program for the HP 48.
  14. In this area we have a device called VCR Plus,
  15. I don't know if it's nationwide (USA) yet. But
  16. the deal is that in the TV guide there is a
  17. number for each show that you may wish to record.
  18. You enter that number into the VCR Plus 
  19. device and it can determine the channel, time and
  20. day of the show that you want recorded.  It
  21. does the recording by learning from your VCR
  22. remote how to "turn on", "stop", "record", etc
  23. the VCR.  
  24.    Now if someone could determine how to extract
  25. the time/channel info from the VCR Plus number,
  26. you would program the HP48 to automatically
  27. record programs by just enterting that number
  28. that appears in the TV guide.  I don't have
  29. the time right now to do this programming (and
  30. I just got my HP48 two days ago, as well).
  31. But here is an idea for anyone on the Net
  32. looking for a novel project.
