- I agree. I do not understand those who buy the Casios and the TIs because
- the 48 is just "too expensive".
-
- When I went to college (Christ, I sound like my dad here!) back in 1975
- the cost of a high quality calculator (HP55) was $350.00. At a private
- college (Marquette University) a years tuition was around around 4 to 5
- grand.
-
- I have not done the calculations, but I would guess that in constant dollars,
- the cost of a 4-year degree has gone up and the cost of the best calculator
- available has gone down. As a percentage of the total expense of a college
- education, a calculator is insignificant today. What's all the whining
- about??
