- Hello:
-
- I'm afraid that this is more of a hardware problem than anything,
- but hopefully we can resolve it in software.
-
- We are using the standard HP ****9P Postscript cartridge with our
- Laserjet III. We are using the standard postscript interface file
- that comes with HP-UX 8.0 (yes, I know it's not very good). BTW,
- if anyone has a more robust Postscript interface file, I'd be glad
- to receive one by mail :)
-
- Anyway, there's no problem printing, but the POSTSCRIPT PROCESSING
- message light never goes off unless I manually go over and press
- the reset button on the printer. I've tried putting in an
- echo "\033\0105\c" in the interface file to send a reset to the
- printer, but this doesn't work.
-
- I suspect that it's our hardware connection to the printer that is
- causing the problem. We are running filber optic to HP-IB to Centronix
- to the printer. We did not encounter this problem when running straight
- serial at 19200 baud to the printer using the same interface file.
-
- If anyone has any ideas as to fix this problem, please send email.
-
- Thanks.
