- I am attempting to set up a site-wide source code repository for
- our organization on an HP 9000/750 HP-UX 8.07. This file system
- will be mounted to several other workstations, including another
- HP 9000/750, a couple of SUNs (SunOS 4.03 and 4.1.3), and a few
- DECStation 5000/200s (Ultrix 4.2). I have been able to get the file
- system successfully mounted on the other HP and the SUNs, but cannot
- get them mounted on the DECs.
-
- The /etc/exports file on the server looks like this:
-
- /monet32 picasso
- /monet33 picasso
- /monet35 picasso
- /admin picasso dangerous.ccad.uiowa.edu sparky.ccad.uiowa.edu rembrandt
-
- Where picasso is the other HP, dangerous is a DECStation 5000/200,
- the other two are SUNs.
-
- The fstab entry on dangerous looks like:
-
- /admin@monet:/admin:rw:::nfs:soft,bg,intr:
-
- The entries on the SUNs are similar (excepting format differences).
-
- The error message I get back is below:
-
- nfs_mount: monet:/admin server not responding: RPC: Authentication error; why =
- Invalid client credential
- nfs_mount: access denied for monet:/admin
-
- I would appreciate any help I could get in resolving this (as the net usually
- seems to be faster than the vendor support folks).
