  11. I am attempting to set up a site-wide source code repository for
  12. our organization on an HP 9000/750 HP-UX 8.07.  This file system
  13. will be mounted to several other workstations, including another
  14. HP 9000/750, a couple of SUNs (SunOS 4.03 and 4.1.3), and a few
  15. DECStation 5000/200s (Ultrix 4.2). I have been able to get the file
  16. system successfully mounted on the other HP and the SUNs, but cannot
  17. get them mounted on the DECs.

  19. The /etc/exports file on the server looks like this:

  22. /monet33        picasso
  23. /monet35        picasso
  24. /admin          picasso dangerous.ccad.uiowa.edu sparky.ccad.uiowa.edu rembrandt

  26. Where picasso is the other HP, dangerous is a DECStation 5000/200,
  27. the other two are SUNs.

  29. The fstab entry on dangerous looks like:

  33. The entries on the SUNs are similar (excepting format differences).

  35. The error message I get back is below:

  37. nfs_mount: monet:/admin server not responding: RPC: Authentication error; why =
  38. Invalid client credential
  39. nfs_mount: access denied for monet:/admin
  40.  
  41. I would appreciate any help I could get in resolving this (as the net usually
  42. seems to be faster than the vendor support folks).
