  15. We got an HP 400, which has an SCSI connector, and we want
  16. to connect to it an 4mm DAT tape. This tape device has been
  17. moved from an 750 where it worked well onto this new 400.
  18. I followed the tape installation guideline in the manual for
  19. the series 700 machines, but it would not recognize the device
  20. after doing an mknod /dev/rmt/0m 54 ....

  22. 1. How do you check that the SCSI device driver is installed into 
  23. the kernel?

  27. 3. How do you install the tape device on an 400?

  29. 4. Why isn't the tape installation procedure a part of SAM?

  31. I think we are running HPUX 8.05.
