- hi,
- We got an HP 400, which has an SCSI connector, and we want
- to connect to it an 4mm DAT tape. This tape device has been
- moved from an 750 where it worked well onto this new 400.
- I followed the tape installation guideline in the manual for
- the series 700 machines, but it would not recognize the device
- after doing an mknod /dev/rmt/0m 54 ....
-
- 1. How do you check that the SCSI device driver is installed into
- the kernel?
-
- 2. How do you check that the tape device driver is installed?
-
- 3. How do you install the tape device on an 400?
-
- 4. Why isn't the tape installation procedure a part of SAM?
-
- I think we are running HPUX 8.05.
-
- Best Regards
