  10. I have recently installed HP-UX version 8.07, and X11 Release 5 on our 
  11. HP 9000 series 700 machine. Everything seems to work fine except 
  12. for tvtwm.  I cannot get it to work properly on this machine.  (Twm, 
  13. incidentally, works just fine).

  15. Tvtwm compiles without problems  and appears to execute.  However, it appears
  16. not to read the startup file .tvtwmrc properly.  None of the menu descriptions 
  17. pop up when mouse buttons are pressed, icon managers don't show up etc.  
  18. It gets a certain part of the way - surrounding windows with title bars, 
  19. and that's about it.

  21. I tried using the gnu version of m4 but this didn't help.  I have little
  22. experience of debuggers so xdb doesn't help me much.  This is the initial
  23. output when xdb is run on the tvtwm executable:
