- Mike, as Howard Stroyan pointed out in a previous post . . . it USED TO BE
- the case that 3D accelerated graphics devices were slower for X stuff
- than 2D devices. For example, this was true on the PVRX -- which the
- original poster asked about -- and TVRX.

- The CRX family of devices (starting with the CRX which was released back
- on HP-UX 8.05, I believe) changed all that. Not only do the CRX devices
- offer industry-leading X performance, but they offer it across the product
- line -- including the 3D accelerated devices. In fact, by some measures,
- the CRX-48Z (our newest, fastest 3D device) is also our FASTEST X server
- today!
