- One of the DECStation 5000s I am using has no graphics card or keyboard.
- I have it networked to a SPARC II and basically use NFS and telnet to
- connect to it. The display variable is set to the SPARC system.
-
- This works well, but the DECstation uses tty1 as the console port and
- any system messages that would typically show up in the session manager
- window are send to the serial port. As the system is set to autoboot,
- I normally don't have a serial terminal attached.
-
- My questions is:
-
- How can I open a console window and redirect console output to
- it (similar to contool on the SUN)?
-
- Thanx for any help
